About Me

I am Jenni, parent of 2 grown up children and a Labradoodle called Russell. I have worked with children and families for the past 20 years. Starting off working as an assistant in a pre-school setting before working my way up to Manager. I then moved on to working in a Children’s Centre, setting up a brand new creche facility and working with families in need. I then spent 5 years working within the Health Visiting and School Nurse teams as a Community Nursery Nurse, supporting children and families with sleep, diet, behaviour and toileting.

It was during my time within the Health Visiting team that my passion for improving children’s sleep began and I got a bank job working as a paediatric sleep practitioner within a specialist sleep service within the NHS. Alongside this role, I worked as an adult learning tutor, delivering new parent groups, healthy eating workshops, sleep and behaviour management courses as well as starting up my own infant massage and sleep support business.

After being offered a permanent position within the NHS specialist sleep service, I dedicated all my time to this position and became a senior sleep practitioner, which involved co-ordinating the training of other professionals, teaching on the sleep courses, supervision of other team members and supporting families to implement individualised sleep management programmes.

After many years in total working for the NHS, I now work as a private sleep practitioner. I also do sleep consultancy work for Hunrosa, a commissioned sleep service for the NHS. I continue to work as tutor for EDS Sleep Training for Professionals on the Level 6 advanced paediatric sleep training course.

How I work

Every child, family and home environment is different! There is not a one size fits all approach to improving sleep. I work with you, to listen to what you would like to achieve. I can offer advice, support and evidence based strategies tailored to you. It is not up to me which strategies you decide to use, that is entirely your decision, but I always give choices.

If you decide to work with me, you will be sent a pre-assesment form and sleep diary to complete before we meet on Zoom or via the telephone. We will then have an hour’s consultation, after which you will be sent an individualised sleep management programme. Depending on what package you decide to take, you can tailor the support you need whilst going through the sleep plan.

If you need support with your child’s sleep and they are between the ages of 1 year and 16 years, then do get in touch.
